Baltic Sea Philharmonic

This week the Baltic Sea Philharmonic started its preperation for there new concert tour called “Baltic Sea Landscapes”. Edmar Tuul is one of the lucky 4 young conductors who have been chosen as maestro Kristjan Järvis assistant conductor. In addition to the tour program each student condutor will be given a contemporary piece written during this week in the BYP LAB composers workshop. On thurdsay there will be a recording session with these contemporary pieces.

Jean Sibelius: Karelia Suite, Op. 11
Sergei Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, Op. 26
Arvo Pärt: Swansong
Gediminas Gelgotas: Mountains. Waters. (Freedom)
Igor Stravinsky: The Firebird (1945)

The soloist for Prokofiev Piano Concerto is Alexander Toradze.
