On this homepage you will find information about a young Estonian conductor Edmar Tuul who has been awarded with the Gustav Ernesaks’ academic scholarship, which is one of the greatest recognitions that a young conductor can receive in Estonia. In addition he has received several rewards from the Estonian capital Tallinn: “Cultural developer and Contributer” and “Great deeds for young people of Tallinn and great deeds of young people of Tallinn“. Currently Edmar is the chief conductor of 4 choirs and 4 symphony orchestras in Estonia.
Edmar has been a guest conductor infront of Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Estonian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, Estonian Music teachers Symphony Orchestra, Estonian National Male Choir, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Pärnu City Orchestra, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Sinfonietta orchestra and Mixed Choir and several other choirs.
Edmar has studied conducting under the guidance of Neeme Järvi, Tõnu Kaljuste, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Kristjan Järvi, Leonid Grin, Hirvo Surva and Lukas Groen.
